Clinical impact of serum hemoglobin A1c and insulin levels in terms of postoperative complications in the nondiabetic patients with non-small cell lung cancer

Background: Hemoglobin A1c and insulin levels are important parameters to indicate glucometabolic status of the patients. It is understand major changes in glycometabolic so as predict postoperative complications. In this study, we aim assess impact serum hemoglobin on morbidity lung cancer Materials Methods: Between 2018 2019, 100 consecutive nondiabetic patients who underwent resection via thoracotomy with indication NSCLC were included study. Preoperatively all routinely computed tomography positron emission (PET/CT), cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) pulmonary function DLCO (Diffusing Capacity for Carbon Monoxide) tests. blood HbA1c, fasting measured. Age, gender, BMI, insulin, HbA1c complications evaluated.
